Jas. Marshall was charged with being an idle and disorderly person ; in that he habitually consorted with prostitutes, and also with assisting in the management of a brothol. He was remanded till Monday, bail being fixed in two sureties of £si) each. Alleged Burglary: James Wilson appeared to answer the charge of having entered the premises of Mark Phillips. Lucas Creek, and stealing therefrom & loaf of bread, 51b of moat, a tin of syrup, half a pound of butter, and one or two sundries, to the value of 235, the property of Mark Phillips. Accused was remanded till Monday week. Obscene Language, Etc.: Charles Swanson was sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment on two charges of miner obscene language on the 18th inst., on the barque Laira, lving at Queenstreet Wharf, and of striking with his clenched fist one Alexander Thompson. Chimney on Fire: William Reid was convicted and fined 10s, and costs, for allowing his chimney to iaka fire.
