RAILWAY APPEAL BOARD.
[BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Paluerston North, Wednesday. As the result of a sitting of the South Island Railway Appeal Board on April 29, when a driver (H. Livingstone) and fireman (R. D. Clark) appealed against the decision of the Department in disrating them for a. slight collision at Longbuni, the Minister has confirmed the decision of the Board of Appeal to reinstate the men and refund the pay deducted. The members of the Board conducted a test themselves at the. locality of the accident, with a result favourable to the men disrated.
