' deputation of school teachers on the matter of a teachers' superannuation fund, and later in the day he gave an important pronounce- '■> ment as to the intentions of the Government : on labour matters to a large deputation re- '. presenting the Trades and Labour Council, I Renorta of the deputations, and of an inter- ; view granted by the Premier to a Herald -'representative, will be found elsewhere in this issue The Premier and party spent the . ■ evening in His Majesty's Theatre To-day the Premier receives deputations 'i at the Grand Hotel at ten o'clock. Should business permit he may leave here this afternoon but more probably to-morrow mornine, mr Huntly, to meet Mahuta and some Of the Ngatimatiiapoto chiefs. The Hon. Mr. Carroll, Native Minister, will accompany • the Premier on this trip. He spends Saturday at Paeroa, and goes on to Waibi on Sunday. On Monday he will visit Hamilton and make a presentation to Mr. H. J. Gteenslade, and address a meeting in the Volunteer Hall. On Tuesday the Premier joes to Rotorua, remaining 'twere till Thursday, when he returns to Auckland. ■ ■"■ The Hon. W Hall-Jones, Minister for Public Works, vho is residing at the Star Hotel, intends flaking a visit to the North. He leaves this norning for Tahckeroa. and goes on by road, if possible, to Whangarei, which he hopes to reach on Saturday, proceeding thence to Kawakawa, and starting the return journty on Monday, expecting to reach Auckland igain on Tuesday night. On Thursday he leaves Auckland again for the South by way jf the Main Trunk railway, inspecting the vorks en route, and proceeding on to Wellington.
