ADMIRALTY HOUSE: A SUGGESTION.

TO THE EDITOR. Seeing that some wise and estimable men in Auckland are in a quandary what to do with Admiralty House, I beg to offer the suggestion, as a modus vivendi and temporary measure, that it might accommodate our new Bishop very nicely, . and that Bishopscourt, until renovated, would do very well for the Admiral if ho should want to spend a few days on shore. There must be several rooms in it good enough for anyone From Bishopscourt the Admiral could "' oversee" the movements of his flock in the harbour, while the Bishop, being in a sense Admiral of the national skypilots. would be appropriately lodged in Admiralty House', to say nothing of the advantage of releasing the " grave and reverend signors" of the Harbour Board from a dilemma.—l am, etc., Hugh Stewart, late Cantain R.A. Athenree, May 11, 1903.
