THE CHARITABLE ALL BOARD.

JL XJ.XJ VJ-IX.IIIX x. ♦ - Uiu JUIV/XXXVJL'. TO TOE EDITOR.

Sir, —Can you inform me and the publ'd generally if the Charitable Aid Board publish any annual statement of receipts and expenditure? lam not aware of any such statement having been published' in the newspapers. Such a dot-ailed statement of patticulars would enable the public to judge for themselves how and in what way the).funds have been expended. It seems to mo that there is a good deal of hole-and-corner business going on, and it is quite time somebody took ths matter up. I am surprised that in all the disputations, going on no reference has been made or quotations given that would enlighten one on the subject. It is very well for Mr. Garland to take the high ground and deal in generalities—the public require something more than that.—l am, etc., Inquires. May 9, 1903.
