Later on, when the infectious diseases hospital was under consideration, Mr. Bjgley moved, "That tha infectious diseases hospital bo erected out. of those moneys," and yas promptly informed by Mr. Garland that '(he moneys referred 'to were not available for the purpose suggested by Mr. Bagley. Mr. Bollard "thereupon % marked: "There might not be £5300, but there was plenty of nfmey to build an i. fectious diseases hospital." Now, sir, I think t-M public are entitled to some enlightenment on this matter, and perhaps you would be khd enough to inform me : 1. Is tho overdraft for which these trust funds are pledged an a-erdraft on general account or against an account lor advances made and expended fo| building purpose* only? 2. Tho exact aiount of the trust moneys referred to and whether they have diminished through any portion of them hav. ing been used for othet than tho purpose intended? 3. How cornw, it that the Board pledges as security for m overdraft moneys which Mr. Bollard state! could not he used except for buildings? 4. Who would be held responsible if the bank deemed it necessary to call up the overdraft and, failing pay. ment of same, seized tho trust funds pledged as security? 5. What are Mr. Garland's grounds for stating thai the moneys which Mr. Bollard says are left in trust for hospital buildings are not available for building ai infectious diseases hospital?l am, etc., I Knox Babtba.
