fBT TELEGRAPH.—PRKS3 ASSOCIATION.] LvvERCAEGiLL, Saturday. The banquet to Mr. R. McNab, M.H.R. for Mataura, last night, was the largest gathering of its kind ever seen in Gore. The Premier, Sir Joseph Ward, the district councillors, and several members of Parliament, Were present. Speeches of a highly complimentary nature were made. Sir Joseph Ward ridiculed the idea that he went to Australia for a loan, when the loan had been secured in London. Mr. McNab described Parliament as the first gentlemen's club in the colony, where there were no class distinctions.
