DEATH OF MR. F. DIBBLE.
General regret will be felt in agricultural and pastoral' circles, and by a large circle of friends, at the death of Mr. F. Dibble, which took place on Saturday at Whitford Park, Turanga. The late Mr. Dibble was born in Somersetshire, and was for a time in partnership with his brother, in the possession of one of the model farms in the county of his birth. Early in the sixties he arrived in Auckland, and was for a short time engaged with his brother, the late Mr. Gcoiga Dibble, contracting at Otahuhu. About 1857 he was engaged by the late Mr. J. C. Firth to take charge of the Matamata Estate, and I during the many years he acted as manager thousands of acres were brought into culti vation. About 17 vears ago he left Matamata, carrying with'him the best wishes anrl warmest friendship of the many hundreds of visitors he had received and entertained on the estate, and settled on his farm known as Silver Hill, in the Albertland district. He remained only a short time at) Albertland, and for the past 16 years he has had full charge of Messrs. L. D. Nathan and Co.'s estates at Whitford Park, and elsewhere, enjoying the fullest confidence of his em plovers. Mr. Dibble was a warm supports'of the Auckland Agricultural Association, and was for many years intimately connected with its management. He was married, and leaves a widow to mourn the loss of her husband. For several months past Mr. Dibble has been in indifferent health, and he passeu peacefully away on Saturday morning. Tinfuneral will leave Whitford Park at eleven o'clock this forenoon.
