fj)Y TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchxtrch, Friday. The Methodist Conference to-day rejected a proposal that the Conference of 1903 should elect a president and secretary for 1904-. It was decided that the next Conference be held in Auckland. _ In the evening * a mission meeting was held in Durham-street Church.
