With dull ■weather and a strong tendency to rain, and a gusty fishtail wind, operations commenced this morning; at a, Quarter-past eight with the 50Qyds range. 10 shots, in the Wellington Match. The shooting wits not of the calibre of yesterday. ' No one succeeded in getting the coveted possible, but several obtained 49, amongst "these Causley and McKee, whilst Browne' (47) and Makgill (46) "were also well up. At a quarter to eleven the 600 yds was started, and although the light had brightened up '- the ' wind had ' become more tricky, aiid lots of men who had' big scores at 500 yds failed to keep up. ' The 'match was won' by W. Ballin'ger, with 90, G. Howe taking second place on the count, Maingay ' securing -third money with 39.'
