Thy TELEGRAPH. —press ASSOCIATION.] Waipawa, Tuesday. At a joint meeting of the Waipawa and Patangata Councils, it was resolved to protest against further increase in the. Harbour Board rate, also to join all other local bodies interested in petitioning Parliament to grant adequate representation to the country. It was contended that the basis of representation arranged in 1878 was unfair under the altered circumstances and increased valuation? of country properties.
