AUSTRALIAN JOCKEY CLUB'S SPRING MEETING. THE FOURTH DAY'S RACING. SUCCESS OF AN AUCKLAND-BRED HORSE. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. Sydney, September 13. The A..J.C brought their spring meeting to a conclusion to-day at Randwick. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance.
The principal handicap of the programme was won by the Auckland-bred horse Regalia IT., who proved himself to be a very much better horse than he was given credit for.
The scratching pen was very busy in connection with the Randwick Plate, which dwindled down to a trio of contestants, and with only Blue Metal and Homeward Bound to dispose of Wakeful went out a 10 to 1 on favourite. The daughter of Trenton won her race in easy style.

THE STALLION SAN FRAN.
[BY TKLKOKAVir. —PRESS ASSOCIATION,] Wellington, Saturday. The stallion San Fran, purchased recently in New .South Wales on account of Mr. W. if. Douglas, of To IMahanga Stud, Hawko's Bay, arrived in good condition this morning from Sydney, by the s.s. ,Warrimoo. The horse will bo taken on by train to Napier on Monday. PAKURANGA HUNT OLCIJ RACKS. Owing to the inclemency of the weather on Saturday afternoon, the Pakurnnga Hunt Club raws, which were to have been held at Alexandra Park, were postponed, and will ho bold on Wednesday afternoon, weather permitting. Tho postponement came as a disappointment to tic: hunting fraternity, and particularly those enthusiasts who came down from Pukckohe end W&iuku, bringing thoir horses with them. They will, however, remain in town till "Wednesday in order to participate in tho sports, which promise to be most successful. As the proceeds are to he handed over to the Veterans' Home fund, it is to be hoped the gathering will meet with a liberal measure of public support. No charge will be made for admksion to tho ground, but theso wishing to enter tho enclosure or make ire of tho grandstand will be charged 2s each.
The annual meeting of members of the Auckland Trotting Club is convened to bo held on Monday, 22nd inst., at half-runt two p.m.
