FOOTBALL.
The weekly meeting of the Management' Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union' was held at the rooms of the Auckland Ani*"' . , teur Sports Club last evening, Mr. Shaehan in the chair. Arrangements were made for the return match, Auckland v. Thames and affiliated country unions, to be played on Saturday next at the Thames. The Auckland team will leave on Saturday morning at nine a.m., and will return cm Sunday, leaving the Thames at six a.m. Mr. Angus Campbell has been appointed referee. On Saturday next the annual match between. the masters and scholars of the secondary.. , schools will be played at Alexandra Park, . Epsom. Mr. J. H. A. A special excursion train has , been arranged for to run from Pe Aroha to the Thames on that day. A letter was read from the Hawke's Bay Union, asking if tlw local union were going to travel this year, and it was decided to reply in the negate. .
