SCALDED IN BOILING LYE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. Mr. J. A. AILENDER, one of the proprietors of the Petone soap works, fell into a tank of boiling lye yesterday afternoon, and was so badly scalded that he "died this morning. [Deceased was a son of Mr. Allender, who carried on business as a soap manufacturer in Parnell for many years.]
