The following were elected by considerable majorities:—Messrs. Buckridge, Langley, Scott, Syrnous, and Morgan. At a meeting of the newly-elected committee held subsequently, Messrs. Buckridge and Langley were elected chairman and secretary respectively. Ngaruawahia: There was only a small attendance of householders, Mr. Duxfield in the chair. The annual report showed everything to be in good order. Tile examination resulted in 9,"3 per cent, of the pupils passing the different standards. The financial statement showed a credit balance of £8. The following were nominated for the committee, and the polling resulted as follows:— E. Barr, 18: Thomas McKeown, 13: J. W. Ball, 16: W. Simpson, 16; W. Edge, 16; D. O'Lcarv. 16; R. I). Duxfield. 14; A. Booth, inn., 13: G. Roper, 12; J. H. W. St. Clair, 11. The first seven named were declared duly elected. At the meeting of the committee Mr. H. E. Banwas elected chairman, and Mr. Ball secretary.
