PENNY POSTAGE TO AUSTRALIA.

They contend that Australia is throwing upon Great Britain the financial loss resulting from the penny postage. (Received April 30, 10..'56 p.m.) London, April 30. In the House of Commons Mr. Austin Chamberlain, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, said Mr. Drake's (Federal Postmaster-Gene-ral) cablegram with reference _ to penny postage to Australia required explanation, meanwhile the postage rates would remain unaltered.
