MAYORAL ELECTIONS.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—rRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Mastektont, Wednesday. The following is the result of the Mayoral election:-P. L. Rollings, 366; J. Coradine, 330; J. A. Renall, 293; R. K. Jackson, 72 ; informal, 8. Mr. Rollings was declared elected. . Blenheim, Wednesday. Much interest was taken in the borough election to-day, and the. polling was heavy. Mr. R. McUailum was re-elected Mayor, defeating Mr. W. Can- by 296 to 256. TiM.uur, Wednesday. The Mayoral election resulted as follows: —J. Craigie, 578, and T. Hawkey, 332. Both are councillors. There are 1921 names on the roll, and a good deal of interest was taken in the election. Napier, Wednesday. The election for Mayor to-day resulted in the return of Mr. F. W. Williams by a majority of 187 over his opponent, Mr. S. Darnell, ex-M.H.R. Mr. Williams is a member ol the Chamber of Commerce, chairman 1 of the Harbour Board, and is well versed in public affairs. Considerable interest was manifested in the election, though the poll was not quite as large as on the last occasion, when, however, the general municipal election was taken at the same time. Palmerston North, Wednesday. Mr W. T. Wood has been re-elected Mayor by a majority of 307. The votes polled were:—Wood, 605 ; Guy, 298. Astcbuiiton, Wednesday. Mr. W. H. Collins was re-elected Mayor by a majority of 108 over Mr. Henry Davis. Great interest was shown in the election, nearly all the ratepayers voting. Wellington, Wednesday. The following are the results of the Mayorai elections :—Onslow, Mr. Williams ;• Melrose, Mr. Keene; Stratford, Mr. Liardet; Feilding, Mr. Goodbehere; Pahiutua, Mr. Tosswill; Petone, Mr. Mothes; Karori, Mr. Tarr.
