PROPOSED VISIT OF SOUTHERN MEMBERS.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.]

Whangabei, Tuesday. Mb. A. 0. Glass has received a wire from Mr. Field that he had arranged with the members to leave the South on the 28th instant, and has wired for them to be at Onehunga on the 4th of March. They will leave probably in the evening for Whangarei, where they will be shown the country. On Wednesday they go to Hikurangi and Puhipuhi, with a meeting in the evening of Thursday. On Friday they will go to Kawakawa,' to lunch, and on to Pakuraka and Ohaeawai in the evening, where the settlers have arranged to meet them at a public meeting. On Saturday they will be taken from Ohaeawai to Waimate, and to Waihou to lunch, and from there to Okaihau and Horeke to Kohukohu, where they will be the guests of the North Hokianga branch, with dinner, and a meeting will be held in the evening. On Sunday they will be taken down the Hokianga River in Mr. Bindon's steamer. On Monday they go through Broadwood to Kaitaia, where they will be received by that branch, entertained, and a meeting held in the evening. Tuesday is not definitely arranged for. but probably they will go to Awanui and Peria. On Wednesday they will go from Peria to Mangamuku, and will be met there by the steam launch" and go direct to Taheke, where they will be met by the Kaikohe residents and taken to Kaikohe, where- they will probably have a meeting and go on to Northern Wairoa. The rest of the trip is not yet arranged. Probably they will go to Maungaturoto, Warkworth. and back to Auckland. The settlers so far have decided to do all they can to make the trip a success. Fruit will be a strong feature of the trip, and North of Auckland wines. Whangarei and Hikurangi have not arranged their parts, as they have to meet first, but. there will be no bitch with those districts.
