1 • [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.]

.'. •? Wellington, Tuesday. The Hon. A. J. Cadman, M.L.C., and Mr. 13. M. Smith returned/from England to-day in the Karamea. , Mr. Cadman's return was necessitated partly by considerations of health and partly from the fact that he had Borne urgent business to attend to in the colony. He will go back in a month or six weeks :to arrange'; finally for floating a company to work the ironsand deposits. Mr. Cadman is sanguine of the success of his venture. He says; New Zealand's credit stands low on the London market just now, chiefly, he thinks, through the effects of the mining collapse and the machinations of disappointed debenture-holders of the Midland Railway Company.
