THE NEW ZEALAND SOCIALISTS
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. At the monthly meeting of the New Zealand Socialist party Mr. Tom Mann was elected a member of the association. In replying to a speech of welcome he offered advice as to what programme the association should draw up for its guidance. So far as he could find out in the three weeks which he had spent; m the colony, the position of the Liberal party was not very bright, and the deep-thinking portion of the party did not expect much good to result from the next general election. '
