FATAL FIRE AT DUNEDIN.
[BY telegraph.— ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Wednesday. At ha If-past eleven o'clock last night a fire was discovered in a lean-to on the reclaimed land occupied by Isaac Walker, well known about the city and wharves. Neighbours rushed into the place and dragged Walker out. Walker was then insensible, and severely burned about the neck, head, arms, and legs. A delay of three-quarters of an hour look place in securing the services of a doctor. When Dr. MacPherson arrived lie pronounced life extinct. Heath was probably due to suffocation. Deceased was 70 years old.
