SLY GROG-SELLING.
At the Magistrate's Court, Te Awamutu, on Tuesday, before Mr. H. W. Northcroft, S.M., a storekeepei named Sircombe, re- v; siding at.Kawhia, was charged, on the information of Constable McPhee, with - selling spirits on June 27 and July 5 last. Mi. Swarbrick appeared for the defence, and pleaded guilty to'the firs' - charge. The , Bench found accused guilty on both dates, • and inflicted a fine of £10, and costs £14:' 14s, and in the second case a fine of £5. V ;
