FIRE AT PARNELL.
A tire : occurred about 'two o'clock this morning, in a one-storey house, on Parnell Rise, owned by Mr. Petford, and occupied by Mr. N. McKenzie. The fire had a good hold before the brigade arrived, and the building was f practically gutted before the flames«were ' subdued. The , house 1 was insured for £75. Mrs. McKenzie and her sis-ter-in-law. had a very narrow escape. Very little of the furniture was saved. " |
