CROWN LANDS BOARD.

The Crown Lands Board met yesterday at the Crown Lands office. Present Messrs. G. Mueller (commissioner), D. Lundon, and J. Renshaw. Summary of Lands Disposed Of: A return laid on the table showed that \ 6903 acres had been disposed of to 48 selectors foi a period from the 22nd ult. to the 20tb" inst. Timber Floatage: A timber floatage _ license was granted to the Taupo Totara Timber Company to float over the Waikato River, subject to oertain conditions. , A like application from A. Williams in respect of the Whakatapere Rivei and tributaries, subject to its being declared open for the purpose by the Government, was granted. , ■_■, ■■■■ Thirds: Thirds schemes were received and approved of from the Mauku, Hikurangi, Huntly, Waipipi, and Whangamarino Road Boards. The payment by the receiver of thirds and fourths to the Manukau, Kawbia, East Taupo, West Taupo, and Great Barrier Island local bodies was approved of. Mining Grants: The following grants were granted under the Mining District Occupation Act, 189+:— J. W. Turner, Block XIII., Ohinemuri, 50 acres, rental £3; T. Withers, Block VIII., Taima, 50 acres, conditionally, rental £2 10s; W. E. Holt, Block 1., Hastings, 75 acres, ronta 1 £3; Tuhi Parata, Block VIII., Tairua, 50 acres, conditionally, £2 10s; J. G. O. Wilson, Block 1., Hastings, 45 acres, rental £2 10s; James Lynch, Block IV., Arolia. 50 acres, rental £5 W. Martin, Block 11., Otanm, 4 acres odd, conditionally, rental 20s; A. McLeod, seotion 5, Block 5, Hastings. ■■<■'■:-_' ". Drury: The Drury Road Board applied to have sections 37 and 38, village of Drury, vested in them. Resolved to reserve the sections foi road board purposes. Tokatoka: A seven years' lease for sawmilling purposes, at a rental of £5 per annum per section, was granted to Butler Brothers for sections 4, 10, and 11, Block X., Tokatoka survey district. / Glazing: The grazing rights or lots 112 to 114, township of Tokatoka, were granted to W. J.
