DEVONPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The Devonport Borough Council held its ordinary fortnightly meeting last evening, there being present: Mr. M. Niccol (in the chair), and .- Messrs. R. H. Duder, , F. E. Mason, W. J. W. Philson, J. W. Eagleton's request it was decided to form a roadway in St. Leonard-street. Mr. Wm. Cavanagh wrote complaining of ' -the impassable condition of a portion' of .the . road in -street. Domain Board will be held .on Tuesday, 30th . inst., the Council decided that the outgoing members of the Domain . $oard be asked to meet tho members of the Council on the 31st inst. '- Tenders: Mr. E. Ford's: tender for the "' ■ (supply of coal at 18s 6d per, ton for tensuing year to the waterworks at Lake, lakapuna was accepted. ' • Reports: The drainage inspector/reported that 18 drainage connections had been made ' . - with tho •■ main ■ sewer during the past fort- - - night.
