Probate was granted in the estates of the following deceased persons on the application of the solicitors named :—James Graham (Mr. Fitzherbert), John Grotty (Mr. McGregor), Robert James Hardy (Mr. Ruddle), John Valentino Hennessy (Mr. Armstrong), Harriet Garland (Mr. Thome), Maria Watkin (Mr. MacCormick), Jane Fulton (Mr. Thorne), Alice Morton and Matthew Movie. In the following estates letters of administration were granted :—Henry Justin Jury (Mr. Stewart), Ada Elizabeth Nicholls (Mr. Thorne), Harriet Israel (Mr. MacCormick), John G. IJerecourc (.Mr. Tunics), William Hewart (Mr. Armstrong). An order was obtained by Mr. Tunks to have the estate of George Samuel Graham (deceased; administered by the oflicial assignee. MAGISTRATE'S COURT.—Friday. (Before ilr. H. W. Brabant. S.M.) Orders were made in the following judgment summonses:— R. W. Gallaugher (Mr. Baxter) v. C. E. Townseud, ordered to pay £1 is lOd within one month, in default to undergo 14- days' imprisonment; T. and S. Motrin and Go. (Mr. Hanna) v. J. 15. Kalian, ordered to pay £2 5s lUd within one month, or in default to undergo 14 days' imprisonment ; T. and H. Cooke v. 11. J. Thomas, ordered to pay £1 19s 6d in two equal instalments, or in default to undergo 14 days' imprisonment; T. Meredith v. Huia Kukuwai, £1 Us Id. Half the amount was paid into Court, and defendant was ordered to pay the balance within one month, or in default to undergo seven days' imprisonment. POLICE COURT— (Before Messrs. J. Gordon and J. McLachlan, J.iVs). Obscene Language: Patrick Carroll, who pleaded not guilty to the charge of using obscene language in Abercrombic-street on the loth iust., was convicted and sentenced to three months' imprisonment. Drunkenness: A number of first offenders were convicted and discharged, and James Smith and John Graham, both second offenders, were fined 10s. Alleged Theft: Joseph O'Callaglian was charged with the theft of certain plumbers' tools, tho property of Frederick Winzemberg. Mr. McGregor appeared for the accused, and pleaded not guilty, and their Worships, having hoard the evidence, dismissed the information. Damaging a Boat: Two lads, named Antonio Santo and Frederick Newald, pleaded guilty to damaging a boat belonging to Edward Shibley. They were convicted, and ordered to pay the costs of the damage done, £?. 10s, at the rate of 2s each per week. Bylaw Cases: Kenneth highs was convicted am! lined 10s and costs, for furious driving: Thos. Ceo. Deßeiv/.y f>s for riding a bicvele on a footpath; .7. McGregor 2s 6d for driving without lights; Samuel Harrison 5s and eo-ts for a -imilar offence; Alf. ({. Tibbutt 5s and costs for riding a. bicycle along Karangahapo Road after sunset without a light. " . . Alleged Theft: John Squire, charged with the theft at I'muo.i of a purse and £5 ss, tho property of Ellen Nolan, was, on the application of Sub Inspector Mitchell, remanded to appear at Pacroa on the 25th inst.
