STATEMENT BY MR. McKINLEY

New York, June 12. With a view of silencing rumours prejudicial to State affairs, President McKinley has emphatically declared that ho will not accept an offer of candidature for a third term as President. His solo ambition is to serve a second term acceptably. Mrs. McKinley is now out of danger.
