FATAL ACCIDENT.

[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] DrxEDi.v, Thursday. Peter Dkrro, a casual labourer, employed by the Union Steamship Company, was killed this morning on board the s.s. Waikare, while assisting to unload grain. Deceased was looking after the hatch, and it is presumed that a sling of grain struck him, knocking him down the hold. Deceased was a Frenchman, and was married, but had no family. He was about 60 years of age. and had been resident about 25 years in Dunedin. At the inquest, a verdict of accidental death, no blame attachable to anyone, was returned.
