Mr. Seldon was to-day presented with congratulations from the heads of local bodies and business people upon the eighth an:r. versary of his Premiership. In reply, be declared his determination to retain lis present position as long as he retained the confidence of the people. All rumours 10 the cor'ran- were entirely misleading. Later. The Proaier all day long has been receiving congratulations. They come from all parts of tue colony, and from persons representing all "hades of political opinions.
