£51,330 FROM 12,658 TONS. During the'four weeks ending March 30 ■sfihe Wiihi Gold Mining Company (Limited) crushed and treated 12,658 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £31,380. This constitutes a fresh record, exceeding the previous best return (that of February, when 13,335 tons yielded £31,237) by £143. Though'the increase in value is but slight, it will be seen that the result has been obtained from a tonnage of ore less by 677 tons than that of February. The present yield is equivalent to an average value of £2 9s 6d per ton, the previous month's yield averaging £2 6s lOd. BARRIER REEFS G.M. CO. £3688 FROM 1809 TONS. During the month of March the Barrier Reefs Gold Mining Company crushed and treated, at their battery at the Great Barrier, 1809 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £1799 3s 3d (the plates yielding £1061 9s Bd, and the cyanide plant £737 17s 7d), and concentrates valued at £188910s 2d, or a total return of £3688 17s 5d- This shows an increase compared with last month's return, when 1263 tons yielded £3581 4s 6d. This shows a decrease as compared with the previous month's return, when 1857 tons yielded £3306. Compared with last month, when 90 tons yielded £505 17s 7d, this return shows a trifling decrease. Burin" the past four-weekly period, the Eclipse (Ltd.), crushed 230 tons of ore for a yield of 1250z 15dwt of melted gold, valued at £359 19s 2d. . KURANUI-CALEDONIAN TRIBUTERS' , RETURN. ; The tributers employed in this company's mine obtained gold to the value of £572 5s 2d during the month of March. For . this return 57 loads of general dirt and 110!b of picked stone were crashed which yielded 2070z 7dwt 12gr of melted gold. ■ MAY QUEEN HAURAKI. During the four-weekly period ending on the 6th inst., five parties of tributers, employed in this company's mine, crushed a total of 60 tons of general ore and 151b of picked stone for a yield of 180oz 15dwt of melted gold, valued" at £485 17s sd. NEW MOANATAIARI. Nine of the parties of tributers employed in this company's mine crushed parcels of "" ;>re during the four-weekly period ending on Saturday last. The total quantity crushed 'by them was 209j tons of general ore and 251b of picked stone, which yielded 1230z 4dwt of melted gold, valued at £341 2s 4d. PROGRESS-CASTLE ROCK G.M. CO. A clean-up from 27 tons of ore and 961b of picked stone, on behalf of the ProgressCastle Rock Gold Mining Company, yielded 30<« 16dwt of bullion, valued at £486 3s 6d. HAURAKI G.M.CO. The Hauraki Gold Mining Company have crushed 95 tons of quartz, and treated 431b of stone, for a return of 168oz 14dwt of bullion valued at £516 12s lOd. ROYAL OAK G.M. CO.
