MASONIC.

The installation of Brother H. Ross as W.M. of Lodge Te Arolia, No. 52, took place in the lodgeroom on Monday evening. There was a good attendance of the brethren. Brother J. W. Anderson, W.M., being in the chair.. Visitors were present from Lodges Ohinemuri, Sir Walter Scott,' St. Andrew, 5.0., and N.Z.C., United Service, Papakura, Alexandra, Mount Egmont, and Otago. The M.W., Brother M. Niccol Grand Secretary, as representing Grand Lodge, was also present, being received with the customary honours. Beside him upon the dais were P.M.'s Brothers Pavitt, Pvne, Lyall, Moresby, and McFarland. The retiring W.M., Brother Anderson, ably performed the duties of installing*master, being assisted by Brothers Niccol, Pavitt, Pyne, and Moresby. After his installation, the W.M., Brother Ross, invested his officers as follows :—I.P.M., Brother Anderson ; D.M., Brother Pavitt ; S.W., Brother Bygrave ; J.W., Brother Rowe ; chaplain, Brother the Rev. McFarland, P.M. : treasurer. Brother H. Clifford ; secretary, Brother Hill ; organist, Brother Maingay ; deacons. Brothers May and Pickett"; 1.G., Brother Devey; stewards, Brothers Cole and Dickson. During the evening the D.M., Brother Pavitt, on behalf of the Lodge, presented P.M., Brother Anderson, with a beautifully engraved P.M.'s jewel as a token of their appreciation of his efforts during his two years of mastership. The new W.M. received hearty good wishes and congratulations from the visiting brethren. The lodge was then closed, and an adjournment made to the supper-room, where an enjoyable time was spent in harmony, and the honouring of the customary toasts.[Own Correspondent.] ■-~.,: '■' , : "
