MAORI MEDICAL METHODS.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] G-isrornte, Tuesday. A native woman, Harata Paratiti, was charged at the Police Court to-day that she did unlawfully kill one Taini Rawhi on November 25 last. The case is one of alleged tohungaism*. It was alleged that (' -..:■-■! had been treated by Dr. Hughes for t._ 'id. when accused came along anil guaranteed to cure him in a couple of days. Her treatment was immersion in the surf on the beach. Ho was left in a tent, the nights being cold and wet. He was given occasional drinks of flax water, and dieted on shark and stingarei. He died in two clays.
