The Government steamei Tutanekai, with the Ministerial party on board, left for Gisborne at 12.30 o'clock this morning. Yesterday afternoon, at 3.30, the steamer Zealandia resumed her trip to the South, with a large number of passengers on her list. The French barque' Max leaves for Glasgow to-day. The barque Northern Chief came out of dock yesterday. She loads sawn timber at this port for Sydney. The departure of the Tyser liner Star of New Zealand, for . Gisborne, was postponed till daylight this morning.
' DEPARTURE OF THE TROOPSHIPS. At about 1 p.m. yesterday the troopship Britannic, with the Imperial troops on board, left for Southampton, via Adelaide. The R.I.M.g. Dalhousie. with the Indian Contingent, resumed her voyage South at 4 p.m., Gisborne being her first port of call.
THE HAWEA. The Union S.S. Company's steamer Hawea, arrived from the South at 5.30 p.m. yesterday. Mr. A. S. McKenzie, the purser, reports that ghe left the Bluff at 4.55 a.m. on the 12th inst.. called at Oamaru. Timaru. and lea vine the latter port at 10.55 a.m. on .he 18th, rounded Cane Colville. at 1.30 p.m. jesterday. and arrived as above. She experienced moderate to fresh variable winds f.nd fine weather throughout the trip. The s.s. Omapere. standing: in to work Te Araroa. was Sighted on the 18th inst.
