[BY TELEGRAPH. press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday, j Particulars of the Hon. J. G. Ward's j mishap show that he was proceeding down .Hill-street on foot, when a groom followed, as instructed, riding one horse and leading another. The groom dismounted and handed the reins of Mr. Ward's horse, Awania, to his master. The groom then attempted to remount, but was thrown, his horse bolting. Mr. Ward's horse endeavoured to follow the example of the groom's, and Mr. Ward w;»s violently twisted round, spraining his right ankle. Yesterday, with remarkable fortitude, he mounted on crutches to the steps of the Parliamentary Buildings and read the proclamation.
