THE NEW FEDERAL MINISTRY. The present issue of the Auckland Weekly News is deeply interesting, insomuch as it contains all the latest pictures j and particulars of Her late Majesty tho Queen, who now lies dead in state at Osborne. There is no person in the whole world whom our race has loved and reverenced so much as our noble Queen, and it is only natural that at such a time as this every picture and every particular relating to Her late Majesty will be prized and treasured, while in the future it is to be expected that the number will become of historical value. Another exceedingly interesting matter extensively illustrated is the Sixth Contingent, which is so soon to leave our shores for war service in South Africa. That lbs friends and relatives of the men, that all patriotic New Zealanders, that true loyalists in every part of the British Empire, should be keenly interested in the personality of the men who have gallantry volunteered for the most trying kind of service against the inveterate Boers is to be expected. . lira Sixth New Zealand Contingent has been photographed " specially for the Weekly News, in sections, at the main camp in Auckland, and the receiving camp at Wellington. In most cases the occupants of each tent form the subject of an illustration, so that there is placed before the public a series of groups in which every individual member can be easily iecognised. Sketches of camp scenes by the special artist showsomething of the life of the camp, and the story of a rejected candidate is told by the same skilful pencil in a very humorous manner. The camps in Auckland and Wellington are depicted, as are the sections of men from the Empire City, Wanganui, etc. Among other attractive pictures is a group showing Australia's first Federal Ministry, and the Commandant and general staff of tea Imperial Contingent, which is ; expected shortly to visit New Zealand. Tho Auckland Weekly News is now cn sale, and can be obtained ~ from all news' agents and runners.
