THE MAIN TRUNK RAILWAY.

VISIT OF THE HON. HALL-JONES. The Minister for Public Works will leave this morning to inspect the works now proceeding at the north end of the Trunk railway. The following is the programme which will be adhered to as far as possible. the party will reach Poro-o-tarao on Monday night, and will leave Poro-o-tarao on Tuesday morning for Taumaranui, staying the night at that place. On Wednesday they will return and go up the Ohura Road for the purpose of seeing the country of the proposed line from Kawakawa to Stratford. On Thursday they will return to Poro-o-tarao. The settlers at Te Awamutu propose entertaining the Minister there at a banquet on Friday evening. On Saturday the Minister returns to Auckland.
