THE NEXT SAN FRANCISCO MAIL.
TO LEAVE ON DECEMBER 6. Notice has been published for some time that the next mail for Europe by San Francisco would leave on December 8. On Saturday, however, we received the following intimation from the Chief Postmaster : —" The s.s. Alameda is now timed to leave Auckland late on Thursday, the 6th, or early on Friday morning, in lieu of December 8 next, as previously announced. This will ensure communication with a fast steamer at New York, and the mail is expected to be delivered in London on or about January 6."
The Herald Monthly Summary will, therefore, be published on Tuesday, December 4, instead of the date previously announced. *
