At the Remuera Yards yesterday Messrs. Buckland and Sons held a most successful beef sale, and disposed of several stock prizewinners at the Auckland Agricultural Show. Mr. Walter Buckland acted as auctioneer with his usual ability. A polled Angus black cow and first prize-taker went to Hellaby Brothers at £10 15s, and Fisher Brothers' prize heifet was knocked down,to the same buyer at £8 12s 6d. Mr. Binstead secured a second prize red steer bred by Westney brothers at £12 10s, and Hellaby Brothers bought its mate at £13 ss. On aocount of Mr. Wm. Taylor, a fine roan steer made £14 10s, and Mr. Jas. Taylor's pen of two third prize roan and red-and-wuite steers realised £13 and £13 5s respectively, Hellaby Brothers purchasing all three lots.
