HON. J. G. WARD AT INTERCARGILL.

[BY TELEGRAPH. PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Invercargill, Wednesday. At the Bluff Harboin this afternoon, with some ceremony, Miss Eileen Ward, daughter of the Hon. J. G. Ward, christened the new tug. Theresa Ward, just arrived from England. In the afternoon the PostmasterGeneral formally opened the Government Buildings at the port, which contain post and telegraphs, Customs, and othei Departmental offices. Later on a procession was formed by the residents, visitors, band, volunteers, and lodges, and inarched down the old Point Road, now improved and extended, and named Ward Parade. After speeches, Mr. Ward declared the parade formally open to the public. This evening the hon. gentleman is being entertained at a banquet by the residents of Campbelltown, in honour of the day's doings.
