','■ ~ ~ '/. \ Wellington, Monday., MEETING OF AUCKLAND MEMBERS. fi The usual weekly meeting of the Auckland members was held this afternoon, there being a good attendance. The official report :C states that several matters of importance :-<to Auckland wero dicussed at considerable .'/ length, ' including the San Francisco mail service. A sub-committee, consisting of Messrs. Massey, Fowlds, and Palmer, was "set up to collect all the information availr* able with regard to the present position of the service, and the proposals which the Government will probably submit to Parliament in the near future. The committee is to report to the next meeting. Satisfaction was expressed that petitions were being ' numerously signed in Auckland in favour of the early completion of the North Island Main Trunk railway. The utmost harmony prevailed at the meeting, showing that the Auckland members are working well together in the interest of the province they represent.' - .
