Wellington, Friday. The s.s. Waikato, which left for London on Wednesday, "tit back here to-night. She met with very rough weather after leaving Wellington, and during a gale one of her quartermasters broke his leg. The caplain therefore decided to return to Wellington and land the injured man. The Wai kato is to take in more coal, but owing to the scarcity of supplies here it is uncertain when she will get away.
