FOOTBALL. OTAGO TEAM TO TOUR THE COLONY* [By TELEGRAPH.—rRESS ASSOCIATION.]. Duxkdin', Tuesday. TltE Otago Rugby Union has decided to Bend a team to tour the colony at tho clqso of tho season.

A well-attended meeting was held at Nga« ruawahia on Saturday (writes our correspondent) for tho purpose of forming a junior football club. Mr. Skelton took tho chair, and explained that it was impossible to be represented in the snior matches, and that it wasdeniable to form a junior club. Ho also pointed cut that a meeting of tho Rugby Union was to bo held on May 26, to arrange for junior fixtures. Tho following officers and committee were elected:—President, Mr. F. W. Lang, M.H.R.; nee-presidents, Messrs. E. Fitzpatrick, Simmolhag, Guthrie, Morris, and Warren ; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. J. Simmelhag; delegates, Messrs. J. Mylos and A. J. Simmelhag; committee, Messrs. W. Parks, J. Myles,. A. Ijockie, Cr. Roper, anil V. Gillander; Selection Committee, Meters. J. Marshall and 11. McKcnzic. Tho annual subscription was fixed at 2s 6d. The secretary was instructed to write to the secretary of tho Waikato Union, informing him that it was tho intention of tho club to join tho union

GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP, [n? TELEGRAPH.—OWN ' CORRESPONDENT.] DtJNEDBf, Tuesday. Tho Golf .Championship Mooting was continued to-day. Tho weather has greatly improved, but is very cold. Tho course is drying rapidly. Tho most. prominent features of to-day's play were the grand games played by Messrs. A. Duncan end Gillies. Tho Auckland champion went through the two rounds played to-day with but one hole scored against him. Tho result of the third round is as follows:— Howdon beat ITarman, three up and two to play; Studholmo beat K. Duncan at tho 20th hole; Francis beat O'Rorke, threo up and two to play: Maoneil beat Todd, seven up and six to play; Duncan beat Stilling, eight up and six to play; Todd boat Tapper, two up and one to play; Somcrvillo heat Wilder at the 19th hole, and Gillies beat Perry, eight up and seven to play.

In tho fourth round Howdon beat Studholme, eight up and six to play; Macneil beat Francis, throe up and two to play; Duncan boat S. Todd, seven up and five to play; and Gillies beat Somerville, six vp and four to play. Tomorrow will lie occupied by the playing of tho intor-ieland foursomes, -which should prove very interesting. The semi-final rounds of the championships will ho played on Thin slay. The prospective match between Duncan and Gillies is causing great oxcitemont.

The second round of the Auckland Ladies' Golf Club championship was played yesterday afternoon, on the links at Green Lano. Miss L. Gillies heat Mrs. Colbeek, six up and five to play; Miss Gillies bent Miss Parstow by six up and four to play; Miss Philips beat Mrs. John Roid, threo up and two to play; whilo Mrs. G. R. Bloomficld had a bye

In tho afternoon an approaching and put. fine; competition was hold, when Miss liarstow won tlio first prize, with Mrs. J. K. Rood a good second. The semi-final round of the ladies' chauu pionehip will be played to-day.
