ADDINGTOtf STOCK MARKET. CinusTcnußcii, Wednesday. The entries at Addington comprised 2000 sheen, about 3000 (at lambs, 9000 store sheep, 433 head of cattle, and 220 pigs. With tho exception of ft few extra pood steers, which brought from £8 to £9 ss, the 200 head of cattle forming the beef supply were mostly light to handy weights. Competition showed no improvement, and Inst week's rates were about upheld. Good steers, £7 to £7 10s: lighter, £5 17s 6d to £6 10s; heifers. £4 17b 6d to £6 15s; cows, £3 15s to £5 103. A fair yarding of stores met with very poor demand. Pat sheep were a very mixed lot, continuing onlv a small proportion of freezing wethers, which sold at from 14s to 16s, a few pens of extra heavy and prime wethers making 16s 6d to 17s 9d; unfinished wethers, down to 13s. Anj good trade ewes sold well at from 12s to 14s. but there were too many inferior sorts in, and these sold at all prices, from 8s to lis, se\nrfil lots being withdrawn. Merino wethers sold at from 10s 6d to 123 ud. The fat iambs were of fairly even quality, and there was a slight improvement in the demand lor freezers, the bulk of the yarding selling at from 12si to 13s, and running from lis 9d to 13s 7d while lighter sorts, for botchers' purposes, sold down to 10s 9d. The continued dry weather, and the closo approach of several large sales in the country, made buyers for store sheep rather chary, and most of the best lines did not reach owners' reserves, and a considerable drop took place in inferior sheen of all classes. Forward wethers were withdrawn at 12s 9d to 12s lid. and none but Inferior Chatham Islanders were sold, at prices ranging from 7s lid to 10s 4d. Mixed two-tooths of fair quality were passed at 12s 8d to 13s 3d. Two-tooth breeding ewes brought 12s 4d: six-tooth breeding ewes, 13s to 14. 6d; six and eight-tooth breeding ewe". 10s 3d to Ws lOd: and need and inferior, 7s 7d to 9s 6d. The smal' entry of fat. pigs caused improved demand baconors bringing £1 12s 6d to £2 (3d to 35(1 pel lb), and porkers £1 5s to £1 12s fid Md per lb): stores, 12s to 18s 6d; eucltcrß and weannrs, 6s to lis 6d.
