AUCKLAND CITY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—As evasion on the part of a candidate to answer question put to him at the conelusion of an address is apt to make electors suspicious, perhaps Mr. H. T. Graham, through your columns, would not object to let the electors who were present at Mr. Napier's meeting on Tuesday evening last, at Richmond Road, know what his question was _ It was patent to everyone that whatever it. was, it went home, but the candidate merely said " No" in an angry manner, and refrained from reading the question to the meeting. As an elector, I think all questions, if not of a personal nature, ought to bo read oat and answered in a straightforward manner.--1 am, etc., Eiectob.
