MR. CADMAN AND PARLIAMENT
REQUISITION PROM FIFTY MEMBERS.
[BY TELEGRAM. ASSOCIATION.]
Wellington, Tuesday. Tnis morning, after the House rose, Mr. Carncross, on behalf of 50 members of the Liberal party of both Houses, presented Mr. Cadman with a requisition urging him to reconsider his expressed determination not to contest a seat at the coming election.
Mr. Cadman, in the course of a brief reply, said that a large requisition of a similar nature was on its way from the Ohinemuri electorate, and until he received that lie preferred to say nothing in reply to this one. He had been warned more than once if lie did not drop Parliamentary work it would drop him. He did not intend to retire from politics, for if he gave up a seat in the House he would fall in with the rank and file and work in the interests of the Liberal party. He urged the party to exert themselves during the coming election, and not consider themselves safe and take things easy. They should work the electorates for all they knew.
