Johnston, Jas. R„sell, and W. J. Parker. Mr. R. K. Baber hon. secretary of St. Mark's Church vestry' > wrote a Pl''ying to the Board to put in a - crossing of wooden blocks across the Remu- • era Road opposite to tho church gate. On I 'J\ e suggestion of the foreman, it was rel 1 11, a stone cross 'ng be laid clown. A letter was received from Mrs. Heywood requesting the Board to replace the crossing which was removed the time the drain was laid down on tho main road. The matter . was referred to the foreman to see Mrs. Hey- ; wood. It was decided to erect scats at the [ top of Arney and Orakei Roads, Victoria [ Avenue and Green Lane for the convenience . of residents waiting for 'buses, etc. Tho > statement of the receipts and expenditure of . the Manukau licensing district for the year ; ending March 31, 1899, was received from i the town clerk, Onehunga. The balance- > sheet of the Board for tho year ending March ' . 31, 1899, was received from the Auditor- , General duly certified to. Several works ro- : quiring to be done wore referred to the fore- • man to attend to. The clerk stated that the [, debit balance in bank was £177 16s 8d; cash . in hand, £9 10s 9d. Accounts amounting to , £48 lis Id were passed for payment.
