A SHIPPING DISASTER.
By Tolegraph.— Association.— Sydney, September 6. Eastern news states that the British India steamer Scindia ran down the Port Commissioner's boat at Calcutta. Captain WaU ler, Mr. Hudson (chief engineer), Messrs. Huntly and Stone (second and third officers), and 60 of the native crew are supposed to have been drowned.
