THE PAKURANGA HOUNDS.
The Pakuranga Hunt Club hold their usual run on Saturday. Meeting at Pakuranga, tho hounds procscded to the property formerly owned by Mr. Alfred Buckland, and now managed by Mr. Rothwoll. Tho hounds threw off on tho flat, and after a few minutes a hare was found, which gaye tho followers a good run m tho direction of Mr. McLean's property; doubling back behind tho house, where it was killed. A second hare which was started gavo the followers a merry run, tho haro being eventually lost, Tho next hare found gavo perhaps tho finest run of tho season, leading tho field at a rattling paco up tho hill and across the road, in tho direction of Mr. McLean's properly, covering a great variety of country, and running in a wido circle in tho direction of the mountain, and back to where it was found, after an exceptionally fast run, which concluded an enjoyable day's sport. HUNTING- AT TAURANGA. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Tauhanga, Saturday. A largely-attended meeting was held at Mr. George Wrigloy's Commercial Hotel last night, to arrange for a visit of the Waikato Hunting Club and hounds. It was decided to have a fortnight's sport, and all expenses (which amount to aver £40] were promptly subscribed, and in adition a substantial surplus will be provided for incidental and entertainment expenses. The local olub will, in addition to tho hunting sports, provide fishing, athletic, shooting, and other outdoor sports.
