The appointment of a successor to Sii James i Prendergast will not be made until the con- 1 elusion of the present sitting of the Court of 1 Appeal. In connection with the retirement of the ; Chief Justice, there is a growing feeling among members of the Bar and the public in favour of two additional judges, independently of Xii James l'rendergast's successor. The Premier will propose this next session.
