FOOTBALL.

NORTHERN WAIROA RUGBY UNION. A meeting of the above was held on Saturday evening in the reading-room, Aratapu. There were present: Messrs. Kilfoyle, Bartley, Allman, W. and 15. Phelan, T' NtiiH, Proctor, Fowler, and Childs. Mr. W. Plwlan was voted.to the chair. Mr. M. O'Connor (president) forwarded a cheque for two guineas as donation to the union|s funds. Constable Scott wrote declining the position of vice-president. The Aratapu and To Kopuru Clubs' first fifteens were passed as sent in. The Northern club reported that they had been unable to complete, their senior list. Resolved that the list must be completed and sent to the secretary before May 6. The Aratapu Club sent £1 10s, subscriptions for first and second fifteens, and the Kopuru Club £1 for first fifteen. Messrs. Kilfoyle, J. McLean, and T. Elliott'were appointed the union's Selection Committee without opposition. It was resolved that the union cup fixtures be started on May 13, and the drawing for positions resulted as follow:— 13, Northern v. To Kopuru; May 20. Northern 11. v. Aratapu II.; May 27, Northern v. Aratapu; June 4, Aratapu H. v. Northern II.; June 11. Aratapu v. Te Kopuru. It was resolved that delegates meet on the first Saturday in each month at half-past seven p.m. at Aratapu.
